SARAH DUNSTAN

Sarah was born in 1969 at Helston in Cornwall.  She studied for her diploma in Art & Design at Falmouth School of Art, she then went on to Cardiff Institute of Higher Education where she attained her B.A.(Hons) in 3D Design Ceramics.

1997 Selector of Ceramics at Cornwall Crafts Assoc.
1999 Rufford Ceramic Centre, Nottingham
        A month's residency with the opportunity to make experimental work and teach workshops
2001 Demonstrator, Rufford Ceramic Fair, Nottingham
        Falmouth College of Arts, visiting lecturer on B.A.(Hons) Studio Ceramics

Inspirations

Sarah constantly collects and photographs imagery.  Her work represents and urban personal impression of the world around her and fragmented memories of places she has visited.
The wall pieces carry through themes already present in her 3D work, her interest being with decoration, drawn elements, typography and a fascination with the collection of objects, from the very small and personal, to large architectural forms brought down to a personal scale.

Sarah Dustan has exhibited widely, including the V.&.A Museum, and London galleries, also in Holland, Italy, all over Britain as well as in the West Country.
