JASON LILLEY

Born in 1966, and now living in Truro, Jason Lilley  first studied art at Falmouth School of Art where he received a Diploma in Foundation Studies – Art and Design with a written commendation from his course leader.  Jason Lilley went on to gain a BA(Hons) in Fine Art from the Newcastle on Tyne Polytechnic.
 
In 1990 Jason Lilley's work was featured in a Tyne Tees Television production “Elements” and in 1998 Jason Lilley was the finalist on the Channel 4 programme “Watercolour Challenge”.

Jason Lilley's work is shown in several of Cornwall’s leading galleries he is presently committed to several forthcoming exhibitions in the country.

Of his work Jason Lilley says:

 “My paintings represent a narrative of the interaction of the elements; geology, history and the physical nature of a given area, with a hint of politics, not purely a visual representation”.  The response is a highly personal one.  The final product is the culmination of a lifetime of techniques employed to capture the essence of the subject matter which is, more often than not, a landscape or seascape.
